A week of donated work
A clearer course. A lasting contribution.
At Henderson Country Club in Henderson, Kentucky, Branching Out removed 16 trees, trimmed approximately half a mile of trees, and ground 57 stumps during a week of course-improvement work.
The work included dead and hazardous tree removal, trimming along the out-of-bounds lines on holes 3, 9, and 14, and removing dead and broken limbs left from the previous year’s ice storm. Jason Bellew covered the labor, equipment, and operating expenses.
The club’s perspective
In a communication to members, Devin Morris credited the work with improving player safety, course definition, playability, sight lines, and long-term course maintenance.

Separate project · 2025
Helping the course after the ice storm.
Branching Out also completed a separate, donated ice-storm cleanup at Henderson Country Club in 2025. That assignment addressed storm-damaged trees and limbs across the property.
The front- and back-nine records document the conditions assessed for that work. These photographs show the starting conditions; the later course-improvement week included additional residual-limb work.
Continuing care
Seven more stumps. Another visit.
Jason returned for a later visit and ground seven additional stumps at no charge. This work is separate from the original 57-stump course-improvement project.
The photographs show the freshly ground areas and remaining wood debris. Grinding is complete; the club’s crew is responsible for cleanup.
