Plant Health Care & Tree Injection Services

Healthy trees are an investment. Proactive plant health care (PHC) protects your trees from pests, disease and nutrient deficiencies—saving thousands of dollars compared with removal and replacement. Our ISA‑certified arborists offer comprehensive PHC services tailored to the unique needs of trees in Newburgh, Evansville and Henderson.

Emerald Ash Borer Treatments

Emerald ash borer (EAB) is a destructive beetle responsible for killing millions of ash trees across the Midwest. If left untreated, infested ash trees will die within 20 years 2 . Our trunk‑injection treatments deliver systemic insecticide directly into the tree’s vascular system, protecting it for up to two years without spraying chemicals into your yard. Early treatment saves your ash tree and preserves shade and property value.

Insect & Disease Control

Pine beetles, bagworms, scale insects, bacterial leaf scorch and fungal diseases can quickly weaken trees. We diagnose pest and disease issues and apply targeted injections or soil treatments to eradicate infestations and restore tree vigor. Quick action prevents pests from spreading to healthy trees.

Nutrient Deficiencies & Chlorosis Correction

Yellowing leaves often indicate nutrient deficiencies, especially iron and manganese. We offer nutrient injections such as Mn‑Jet Fe to correct chlorosis and restore rich green foliage. Improved nutrient balance boosts growth and resilience.

Plant Growth Regulators

Plant growth regulators (PGRs) like Shortstop® 2SC slow canopy growth while encouraging root development. They reduce trimming frequency, save maintenance costs and improve drought tolerance. PGRs are ideal for street trees, commercial landscapes and trees under power lines

Benefits of Proactive PHC

  • Preserves mature trees and saves money over removal
  • Improves tree health and longevity
  • Prevents pest outbreaks and disease spread
  • Enhances drought tolerance and nutrient uptake
  • Reduces the need for future pruning

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at jason@intreeservice.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

We drill small holes into the trunk and inject liquid treatments directly into the tree’s vascular system. The tree quickly distributes the product throughout its canopy. Holes compartmentalize and close naturally.

Yes. Trunk injections minimize exposure since the product is sealed within the tree. We follow label instructions and industry best practices for safety.

Treatments are most effective in spring or early summer before larvae begin feeding. If EAB is present in your area, start treatments proactively.

Most nutrient treatments last 1–3 years. We’ll evaluate your tree’s response and recommend a schedule.
