Inspect the whole tree
Look above the driveway and roofline, not just at the fallen branch. Cracks, hanging limbs, split unions, and new lean can change the risk profile of the entire tree.
Do not pull or cut loaded limbs
A limb under tension can move unpredictably. Keep people and equipment clear, call the utility company for line hazards, and request professional assessment for suspended or damaged trees.
Document what changed
Photos from the ground, the date of the storm, and notes about blocked access or property contact help the crew prioritize the safest next step.
